Post Op Surgical Lymphatic Drainage
Vodder Technique
What is it?
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle manual technique that improves movement in the lymphatic pathways. POMLD is applied after a surgical procedure.
How is it done?
The four Vodder strokes stretch the lymph pathways to increase the flow of the fluid within. Special care and techniques are used to relax the affected cells, connective and soft tissues (AKA your Skin)
When should I have it?
POMLD can be done within 24-48 hours after surgery, with a Doctor’s release. At DreaTchal our 90 min POMLD treatment is performed by a Certified POMLD Therapist to speed up your body’s phases of tissue healing. It is recommended to receive at least 1 or 2 MLD treatments before any surgical procedure to simulate and flush your lymphatic system and discuss the post-care process.
(See the dropdown below for your treatment. Please note, POMLD is not limited to cosmetic/reconstructive. Please contact for more info about your treatment)

Why do I need this?
Whether Cosmetic or Reconstructive POMLD speeds up the healing process by reducing swelling, a normal phase of tissue healing. It helps to lower the fluid buildup, bruising, and fibrotic (hard) tissue formation. Surgery is a very traumatic experience for the body. By helping your body to recover with POMLD you are strengthening this natural process physically and mentally. Post-Care is just as important as the surgery itself. Maybe, even just a bit more.
